→ Den usually sleeps here at night → Tops of the dressers and nightstand are covered in framed photos. → Filled bookshelf on the left → Clothes hamper behind the door → Desk usually filled with notes and sketches; trash bin next to it → Night stand by bed holds lamp on top; inside is the automail hand she made for Haruki, and 'sexy' pictures of her and Haruhi. → Bedroom is usually kept clean aside from the scattered papers on the desk.
→ Usually cluttered with working materials / tools / project sketches → Sometimes dimly lit by only the desk lamp; when working somewhere other than the desk Winry turns on the ceiling light.
1) Winry refuses to date guys that are shorter than her. This stems from having seen a movie when she was younger. At the end of the movie the girl had to stand on her tip-toes to kiss her true love goodbye. So swayed by this romantic scene Winry declared that she could never date boys who were shorter than her. To this day she clings to romantic novels to maybe find a scene as cute, or similar to the one she saw in the movie.
2) She loves playing Cupid. In canon she would tease Al about Mei, and would totally love to play matchmaker in Luceti. She's already done it to Femme!Ed (IU) about Sigmund. If she knew more people who were dancing around romance, but not quite dating, she'd probably Ship It and try to make it happen.
3) Winry purposely wears cute outfits when she's not working. She's got a handful of sundresses and a couple skirts she likes to wear. In the winter she also has long sleeve dresses to wear with leggings. This stems from a bit of insecurity she has about Ed calling her "uncute." Although told by multiple people, multiple times that she is cute, and also knowing Ed just says that to tick her off, she still feels the need to look a little better when she's not on the job.
4) Winry wears that jumpsuit and skimpy top in the smithy out of practicality. It gets hot in there, man. Especially with the forge burning like an oven.
5) She doesn't like bugs. (There was an Omake that showed her finding a bug in her workshop. Upon spotting the critter she freaked out and sent Den after it to eat it.)
6) When it comes to desperate situations, Winry is very cool-headed. When a woman was having a premature and troubled birth in Rush Valley, it was Winry (despite there being two other adults, and a State Alchemist around) who stepped up and took the lead. She also displayed this when offering herself up as a pretend hostage of Scar (the man who killed her parents) so that she could escape her real hostage situation, and allow Scar and Co. (Mei, Marcoh, Yoki) + the chimeras flee from Kimblee.
7) Gifts are extremely important to her. No matter how small or seemingly meaningless, Winry cherishes gifts. More on gifts here.
8) Winry is smart, but doesn't like school. She learns more through reading on her own and hands-on experiences. When she was younger she mostly slept in class. (Also in an Omake that took a school setting, she was seen reading a comic book and eating during class, hiding it all with her large text book.)
9) Because of Luceti Winry has found a reason to cook. In canon she never had much need, and only baked pie because it was a special thing between her, the boys, and the Hughes family. However now in Luceti she finds she doesn't mind whipping up a dish. (Although she is no Chef, she is no Usagi either.)
10) She may wear her earrings because they were gifts from Ed and Al, but Winry originally got her ears pierced because of Riza. When they first met Winry was wary of the older woman, but eventually she warmed up to the Lieutenant. She noticed, and really liked, Riza's ear piercing and decided to get one of her own. Also any piercings she has had done I can assume were all done on her by herself and not a professional, seeing as how afterward her ears were all bloody.
11) Because of Luceti Winry wants to be stronger. There's many things that put her at a disadvantage, even when compared to other non-combatants. This is why, despite her adversity to "weird things" (alchemy, magic, etc), she is determined to become familiar with Nala.
12) Winry has never seen an ocean (previous to Luceti), nor has she had a lot of seafood. Amestris is firmly landlocked, and is fighting with almost every neighboring country, so it's hard to get imports and travel.
13) Although she loves Rush Valley Winry is not a city-girl. She's more at home in rural areas, and that's why she feels somewhat comfortable in Luceti.
14) Winry's a dog lover. But not only that, she's seen strays around the village. Lately she's had the urge to take one in, however she's unsure if she can handle taking care of a pet at the moment. Invalid now due to Luceti's Pet Registration.
15) Due to Resembool being in a warm, southern area, Winry was fascinated to see so much snow in Luceti. She had seen more impressive stuff at Briggs, however having the chance to actually play in it made all the difference.
