[Wow there are a lot of new people running around. Some how this feels... wrong and familiar at the same time. Winry's not really sure she wants to get into the large crowd, so she'll watch from the door of the smithy. She's in her normal work outfit, but because of the weather she has it zipped up. If anyone wants to bother her - or come out of the cold because the smithy is generally much warmer than outside - go right ahead.

[First?] You have a sibling?

Uh-huh. Dad told me you guys wanted lots and lots of kids.

[He glances around, shuffling his feet.]

I think Sara's around here somewhere...

[installing]

[Her cheeks flush at his first remark, but the second...]

Sara? Tell me more about you both.

[radioactivebrat]

I have to talk about her? Man... [This pout. It comes straight from Ed.] I'm way better behaved than her, she's always getting into trouble. And she's stubborn, too! I think that's Auntie Haruhi's fault, though. She's into weird stuff. [He wiggles his fingers at that, making a face. There's obviously some affection, though- Haruhi is family, after all, and nothing matters more to the Elrics than family.] We're learning alchemy and magic and automail and stuff, too.

Are you happy, though?

Well... yeah, I guess so. I don't have anything to be unhappy about.

[It's a pretty nice life here, what could he complain about?]

[installing]

I'm glad to hear that. Do you and your sister go to school?

[radioactivebrat]

Yeah, of course! We've been going for a couple years now. We've learned a lot already.

[installing]

I'm glad. [She bets they're just as smart as their father. It's an impulse, but... well she's his mom, right? Winry kisses his forehead.]

[radioactivebrat]

[jkdshjf. He squirms a little, showing a bit of the typical shyness for a boy his age, but he can't stop the smile from crossing his lips. That's his mom, alright.]

Moooom, cut it out...

[installing]

[She tussles his hair.]

So you're learning alchemy, right? How much can you do?

[radioactivebrat]

Lots! [.....] Well, a couple things. Um... do you have a pencil or some chalk?

[installing]

[Actually she does! Winry stands and picks up her clipboard off of a shelf and hands him the pencil that sits on it.]

[radioactivebrat]

[He takes the pencil, carefully sketching out a transmutation circle on the floor. It takes a little longer than Ed's circles did (when he used to draw them, anyway), but he's still pretty quick. Once done, he presses his palms against the floor, and with a flash of light, the floor shifts into a little wooden statue of Shao Mei.

He grins up at her as soon as the light fades.]

Uncle Al taught me that one!

[installing]

[She looks impressed, and offers Lawrence a smile.]

You're pretty good!

[radioactivebrat]

[His smile brightens even more, and he picks up the panda to offer it out to her, along with the pencil.]

Thanks, Mom! You can have this, too!

[installing]

Thank you! [She accepts it, and rubs her thumb over the wooden figure.]

You're really a lot like your dad.

[radioactivebrat]

Everybody always says that. I'm just me, though. [And he kinda likes being like her too, anyway.]

[installing]

I know, and I'm proud. I'm very happily I'm going to be your mom someday.

[radioactivebrat]

You think it's gonna happen soon?

[He has no idea how babies happen but his parents are pretty young normally, right? SO IT CAN'T BE THAT LONG. (Or it's wishful thinking, who knows.)]

[installing]

[WELL THAT TRIPS HER UPS A BIT.]

N-no, I don't think so. Not too soon.

[radioactivebrat]

...Well, as long as it's someday! I gotta be born so you can show me off to everybody! Because I'm so cool.

[Yeah you can guess who he gets his ego from.]

[installing]

[She laughs.] Yeah, it'll happen some day.

[radioactivebrat]

[With such certainty, Lawrence just smiles and steps up to cling to her legs again, feeling a bit childish, but wanting to indulge himself anyway. Mom is Mom, no matter how old or young she is. And he feels safe with her, so that's where he'll stay.]
