I... I have some idea. Do you know Steve Rogers? He made put a warning over the journals that Loki... he tried to start a war on their world and enslave people. I don't know the full story, but... when I spoke to him myself, he told me that he was a god of magic, but others call him a god of mischief and lies. He... still acts friendly and I like to see the best in people, but I can't just overlook all the evidence otherwise.

Believe me I'm struggling to come to terms with it myself. The last thing I remember before waking here is my best friend knocking me out after I attacked her.

I'm well aware of it, yes. [And because honesty is the best policy in this kind of situation...he almost winces.] Clint Barton--the archer--is a teammate of mine.

I don't care if he did or didn't. Tony brags about being a superhero, and if he really is... and Loki is who you say he is... Then at any time that Loki guy could decide to be not so nice and start something. You people have just been warned, all right? She's been through enough without any outside help.

I'd hate to pull her away from her "friends," but since her parents aren't around anymore I have to do what I can to keep her safe.

I don't know. Ikki seems convinced that he's good, in which case... maybe it's because kids are the easiest to make trust you. But that makes me afraid for he's not really good. And it's why we made new rules for Ikki. We sat her down and told her everything we know about him, so that she could make her own decision. And she can't see him without one of us nearby so we can make sure she's safe.

So I've heard. If this happens again I don't want you guys around her anymore. But you understand why I'd have to do that, right?

That's a good idea. I might have to do the same with Elicia.

[He does. But he doesn't like it.] You could start by keeping her away from Loki. Heard the rap sheet on him yet?

Talk to everyone of her friends. If they're dangerous then I'll ask them not to visit her anymore.

Understood ma'am. That's perfectly understandable.

[No kid should be brought into the kind of life where violence was a common thing.]

Yes, but I've also heard he really hasn't been causing trouble here. And being with you would put her in the same danger if a fight between you guys broke out.

Do you think she'll be okay with that?

[Not that Sora's against keeping her safe but asking her friends not to see her? Not sure how he feels about that. But, dangerous is also a valid point on keeping them away.]

[Her expression softens, and she's visibly (a little) relieved.]

She might be upset, but she understands that there are bad people in the world. Now that her parents are gone it's my responsibility to keep those bad people away from her.

It seemed like the best thing we could do. That way we can keep her safe not just from Loki, but if any of those people with grudges against him start something again. We also thought... it'd be important to help Ikki to be able to think and make decisions for herself, because of the way this place is.
