[He sighs.] That's fair. If conflict ends up being unavoidable--and that's his call, not mine--I'll personally ensure that Elicia is far removed. I hate to admit this, but Loki probably will, too.

Most of it was him blaming the other guy, but he seemed to understand where I was coming from.

I'm sure he made it seem that way. You do know what kind of 'god' Loki supposedly is, don't you? God of lies? Mischief? All those great things?

Does it matter? I know he's dangerous. I've heard. However there's only so much I can do. I'm going to have a talk with Elicia about the friends she makes, but I can't always be there when she makes these friends. This isn't the first time this household has dealt with a difficult situation, Tony.

[She folds her arms, but instead of looking defiant she looks like she's holding herself. Winry knows what she's doing, but... She really wishes Gracia was here.]

I'm aware.

[Elicia didn't have her own parents to call the shots anymore. And Tony hardly knew the first thing about parenting himself--not like he had great examples in his own life. So he has to give Winry credit for at least trying.]

But you should still encourage her to stay away from him. If she'll listen.

I'm going to let her know what he's done, but she needs to learn to make her own decisions. She might still be young, but she's growing up. Fast.

[He doesn't like it. Not at all. But he can't really bring himself to lecture her on it. For once, he can't act like he has all the answers.]

This Loki guy isn't the first dangerous guy we've handled.

He was from our world, and lived with us. I didn't know he was dangerous until Ed told me. He... looked and acted like an innocent boy about Elicia's age.

She was. Elicia wasn't aware of what he was, though, so she was safe. Seli- I mean Pride, spent most of his time disguising himself and pretending to be a little boy.

I don't see how being oblivious makes her safe.

Pride may have hated humans, but back home he had an objective that was in no way possible to achieve here. In Luceti he was trapped and had no purpose. He tried hurting people once, but most of his "fun" came from keeping the people who knew his secret on edge. Elicia was of no concern to him.

[Winry accepted the brunt of his games. Many times did she pull all nighters just because she heard his shadows scratching at her door. He terrified her, and he knew it. But then in the morning she would pour him a bowl of cereal like nothing had happened. Both of them kept the charade, and honestly Winry felt it was best that way.]

[He's heard similar arguments for Loki. He didn't have anything to gain by being 'villainous' here, and maybe they're right. But...it just doesn't sit right with him. Pretending like there isn't a problem. Pretending like Luceti is the only thing that counts.]

And you think Loki will be the same way.

No. I know nothing about Loki. But what from what I've heard I'd rather not provoke him, or tell him "no" and have him lash out in spite of that.
