Try calling ahead next time!

This post is for threading with Winry anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals to get in contact with her for personal conversations.

[She aggressively points at the ground by the tree.]

Sit down! I'll teach you.

[Wh- you do this sitting down? Uh. Okay? Weird, but whatever. His brows furrow, and he plops down in the grass, waiting for her.]

Why sitting down?

[installing]

Because- Because you're new at this and I don't want to deal with any problems if your brain can't multitask.

[automailed]

I-I'm not an idiot, I know how to stand up and kiss!!

[But he's already sitting down, so apparently she got what she wanted anyway.]

[installing]

[Winry kneels down in front of him, and puts her hands on his shoulders.]

Okay, so... so it's weird at first, but it's good when you get used to it.

[automailed]

[His gaze shifts down to her hands briefly, then back up at her face, studying her features: her blush, the colour in her lips, her posture. This is good, right? A good thing? He's hoping he does alright, at least.]

Okay- good when I'm used to it, got it.

And it usually starts out normal, but sometimes one person might lick at the other's lips- or someone opens theirs as an invitation! After that, well, you kind of use your tongue to like...

Explore the other person's mouth? Shut up! I know it sounds weird!
[She starts nervously scratching her head. Darn it, she sounds like a weirdo idiot trying to explain this! Maybe she should just demonstrate? Ugh!]

[Um. This explanation isn't really helping...]

What's there to explore? If you wanted to study somebody's mouth, you could just look. Isn't that a dentist's job?

[He's not really seeing what's so romantic about this.]

Ed, that's not-!

[Frustrated she grabs his face in her hands. It almost looks like she's mad enough to headbutt him, but instead... Instead she starts to kiss him passionately. Maybe he'll learn through hands-on experience.]

[Wait what, what is she doing, oh god what is she doing to his face there's teeth and tongue and very active lips and this is really weird-

It only lasts a few moment before he grips her shoulders and pushes her back enough to look at her clearly, his cheeks a deep red. It's pretty terrible when even he can tell that he was doing badly there.]

I-I wasn't ready for that!

You wouldn't shut up, and you wouldn't listen! I thought I'd show you.

[automailed]

I knew that! It was just... abrupt!

[Now he feels horribly flustered.

Oh wait, he was like that from the start.]

Just try again! I'm ready this time.

[...More or less.]

[installing]

All right.

[She looks determined, mostly because it's better than being frustrated. Winry leans in as the cherry blossom petals continue to fall. Her lips press against his. She'll start slowly, and a bit more gentle this time.]

[automailed]

[Okay. Okay, this is... this is easier. He can get behind this. He'll return the kiss, trying not to overthink it but at the same time paying careful attention, because he's supposed to be getting a kissing lesson here. The result is probably a little awkward, but less so than before when he hadn't expected it.]

[installing]

[Winry does all in her power to make it so their teeth don't bang into each other, or anything. She does happen to get a little taken in the moment, and becomes a bit forward. Her tongue slips into his mouth, and it brushes against his.]

[automailed]

[The tongue catches him off guard again, but he doesn't jerk back this time, pausing for a moment before he cautiously presses his own against hers. That's how you do it, right? Just kind of...

...explore?

Weird. It's weird and wet and uncomfortable but...

...huh. Not bad? Actually, it's... kind of exciting.]

[installing]

[She won't pressure him to keep it up too long. Winry pulls away. Her cheeks are flushed, and she's smiling at him.]

Yeah, kind of like that.

[Aaaaand then comes the grin. Looks like someone had fun with it.]

...I told you I'd do it!

[Winry smiles. She'd tease him, but that grin captivates her. It warms her heart, and all she wants to do is wrap her arms around his neck, and be close to him.]

You're pretty talented, I knew you'd learn.

[automailed]

Heh heh. Feel free to give me another lesson any time, then.

[Well, if that isn't an ego boost, he doesn't know what is. And it's enough of a push to get him to wind an arm around her shoulders, tugging her close. Practice makes perfect, right? And maybe someday he'll get this boyfriend thing right.

She seems to be okay with letting him learn, at least- and that's all he can really ask for.]
