So I'm back from my photoshoot! I hope you guys didn't miss me. Any juicy gossip I should catch up on since I've been gone?
[Winry is updating her journal from from the fountain in the middle of the plaza. It's a pretty warm night out, but not devastatingly hot. Just perfect for enjoying the night before heading back to her sleeping quarters.
OOC: As her mallynap effect Winry believes that she is an actress. FullMetal Alchemist is a show she acts in, and Winry is simply a character she plays. Her "real" name is Caitlin Glass (like wise she believes her castmates are also actors, and their real names correspond with their Voice Actors). Not only that, but she believes that Luceti is a small residential area that actors and actresses stay at during their off time (they can't go home because they're all still needed to work on their projects - whether they be television shows, movies, or mini-series). She will be addressing previously known CR by their actor/actress, or voice actor/actress. If you don't want her to do so, please let me know. Any new CR will be addressed by whatever name she's given.]

[Today Winry has a busy day! Despite things in her neck of the woods slowly turning normal(ish), she has a lot to do. Feel free to bump into her at any time/place!
[Late Morning: The Library]
With Ed in the tunnels Winry has been running books back and forth. Sokka has done this too, but she's taking this chance to also pick something up herself. A romance novel with a monochrome book cover catches her eye. She'll flip through the first couple chapters in the library before taking off.
The book reads:
I scowl with frustration at myself in the mirror. Damn my hair – it just won’t behave, and damn Katherine Kavanagh for being ill and subjecting me to this ordeal. I should be studying for my final exams, which are next week, yet here I am trying to brush my hair into submission. I must not sleep with it wet. I must not sleep with it wet. Reciting this mantra several times, I attempt, once more, to bring it under control with the brush.
[Early Afternoon: The Smithy]
Work as usual - not. Off and on Winry tends to small chores and cleaning up prototypes, but nothing extremely productive. She might end up slacking off and reading again on the couch.
The book reads:
Portland disappears in front of us as we head into US Airspace, though my stomach remains firmly in Oregon. Whoa! All the bright all the bright lights shrink until they are twinkling sweetly below us. It's like looking from inside a fishbowl.
[Late afternoon: The Square]
Winry sits herself on a bench. The book she checked out was very boring so far. The writing wasn't even that good. She reads much further, but at some point she frowns. The mechanic's expression looks like one of disgust as her calloused hands slam the smooth book shut. Quickly Winry sets aside the book to open up her journal:]
Hey, would you trust anybody that made you sign a contract if you were going to keep being with them?
[She glares at the book beside her. Should she finish it? Honestly it's making her very uncomfortable. Maybe she should have picked up a medical text instead.]

Four. Four birthdays in Luceti. Honestly none of them have ever been very exciting, but maybe it's better that way. Calling attention to age, especially now that she's 20, is a little of a scary thought. Instead she'll act like it's a normal day for most of it. Taking her dog for a walk in the late morning, spending time in the smithy, and even grocery shopping a bit. Eventually sometime in the afternoon, before dinner, she'll ask the village a question:]
A question for everyone: How do you feel about growing older here? Whether you already have or not. Is it scary to think about?
[Families? Relationships? Are they even a good idea? Despite the fact those are things she wants.]

[Both people over the journals and near the smithy can hear her yelling. Winry, in her surprise had dropped her journal - and then stepped on it when moving back a little. Over the journal the crunching sounds of metal (yes, metal) can be heard. A large Pokémon is eating the supply metals in the Smithy's closet. It's always a wonder how they get in there, but somehow they do. Winry tries fruitlessly to coax the creature out of the closet, but it doesn't seem to want to pay attention to her.]
Oh, come on! I thought we had agreed you'd at least ask first.
[In which Winry mistakes Giovanni's Aggron for Sapphire'sall Pokémon look alike, hush. Because her lack of luck she turns to the journal, picking it up.]

[It has been a week. It has been a week since Winry became single. Since she went home from a date with a ripped dress, soaked and cold. She hasn't really said too much about it. The blond honestly wanted to talk about it, but hadn't felt... she hadn't felt ready. But now... now she's willing to talk. Maybe to a select few people, but she's ready. Maybe that will make her feel better. She's kind of annoyed and disheartened she hasn't seen Haruhi that much during the week, but she'll let that girl have space if that's what she really wants. Instead she goes about her days pretending everything is okay and normal. Places she can be found is the Smithy, her house, and on some days the lake. Any path between the three is included. And on the twenty second, the full one week marker, she sends a message out to the village.]

[Winry's busy today on Valentine's! Shenanigans happen to be afoot in Luceti, and she's not sure if she wants to be around for it. She's got a boat trip with Haruhi to attend to get away from it, so here's how the goes:
Morning: She's packing a bag for her boat trip. She'll be gone for a couple days so she'll be letting the members of Hughes and Elric houses know where she is and that she'll be safe.
Afternoon: After having packed up she'll finish any work at the Smithy she can manage to wrap up, and speak to Sokka about taking the next couple days off.
Pre-evening: With the day almost done she'll be heading over to House 10 so she and Haruhi can head to the boat together for a romantic V-Day.
Pick your poison; as an added bonus Winry's hair has been growing longer. She's nineteen now... and by standards of her world - and some others - a woman now. So she decides to adopt a look from / pay homage to a certain Lieutenant and try a new hairstyle.]

[Wow there are a lot of new people running around. Some how this feels... wrong and familiar at the same time. Winry's not really sure she wants to get into the large crowd, so she'll watch from the door of the smithy. She's in her normal work outfit, but because of the weather she has it zipped up. If anyone wants to bother her - or come out of the cold because the smithy is generally much warmer than outside - go right ahead.
