Four. Four birthdays in Luceti. Honestly none of them have ever been very exciting, but maybe it's better that way. Calling attention to age, especially now that she's 20, is a little of a scary thought. Instead she'll act like it's a normal day for most of it. Taking her dog for a walk in the late morning, spending time in the smithy, and even grocery shopping a bit. Eventually sometime in the afternoon, before dinner, she'll ask the village a question:]

A question for everyone: How do you feel about growing older here? Whether you already have or not. Is it scary to think about?
[Families? Relationships? Are they even a good idea? Despite the fact those are things she wants.]

[Maybe she missed the point of the question--though really, she likes Luceti. Even with the bad things... but maybe that's just her getting so used to the way everything is here.]

Oh yeah? And what have you learned in school lately?

Oh, I've been learning about all kinds of cool stories! Like Snow White and the Seven Dwares, and Pinocchio! And I'm learning bigger words, 'cuz I'm getting pretty good at words now. And letters!

Oh, right. Do you have any new vocabulary homework?

Yeah! I need to practice writing my sentences! And I got reading I gotta do before I go to sleep—i-if you wanna listen to me read, I mean...

Elicia I would love to listen to you read.

And then you can read to me! 'Cus I like your voice.

Of course. Is there a specific book you want to read, Elicia? If not, I could pick one.

[Actually, that's a good question. She doesn't know what books Winry likes; they live together! She should definitely learn, because that's what people who are family do! They listen and learn.
