Four. Four birthdays in Luceti. Honestly none of them have ever been very exciting, but maybe it's better that way. Calling attention to age, especially now that she's 20, is a little of a scary thought. Instead she'll act like it's a normal day for most of it. Taking her dog for a walk in the late morning, spending time in the smithy, and even grocery shopping a bit. Eventually sometime in the afternoon, before dinner, she'll ask the village a question:]

A question for everyone: How do you feel about growing older here? Whether you already have or not. Is it scary to think about?
[Families? Relationships? Are they even a good idea? Despite the fact those are things she wants.]

Haruhi, I don't know any sane person who wants disembodied limbs cutting their birthday cake!

It's disembodied automail! I thought you'd think it was charming, jeez! After I go to all this effort to set something up!

The thought is nice, but jeez Haruhi! In what universe is something like floating limbs not scary? Even if they're made of metal.

[godbent]

It's not scary, it's awe-inspiring! ...Ugh, whatever. I knew your birthday was going to end up low key somehow but I didn't know if you and your boy had plans, so I made cake and a sort of light half-dinner. My present's in the other room.

You can't just call him by his name? [Winry picks up the last limb, and intends to take them to her bedroom.]

Anyway I haven't really talked about my birthday to anyone. I don't have anything planned.

[godbent]

Of course you didn't. I was going to throw a party, but I figured you would have complained more about that-- [Oh wait she's going to her room, drat. Oh well.

In the room is her proper present: an old style 30sish film projector reel and (in cases) the film reels for several movies. Both of them are set up on a little wheeled cart to assist in movement] Happy birthday.

[She places all the arms down on her bed, and gives the present a long stare.]

Come on, I asked for an old model to suit you. You really don't recognize it...?

[Maybe it's still too modern. She's sure Winry's referenced going to the movies... wait maybe she's never been back stage.]

I do, but- how did you get all of this?

[godbent]

I spent some mission points on it, obviously. I can't make promises for what the films are, the technology's legit.

[installing]

[She smiles, and pulls Haruhi in for a hug.]

[Heh, that's more like it] Of course!

This is great. Do you want to test it out with me?

[godbent]

O...Oh. Sure? If you want - like I said, you might want to do something with Edward or Elicia.

[She crosses her arms, a little... pleased]

Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't do anything with you.

[godbent]

Yeah, but a full movie might be a bit much, wouldn't it? I don't want to eat up too much of your day... [But she's just being bashful, really]

Why don't we just do one? Set it up together, and see what I got?

[godbent]

Deal. [She agrees immediately. She doesn't want to impose, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to proudly be with Winry]

Hm, what would be the best place to put this? The living room?

We don't have anything hanging up on the walls, so...

[godbent]

Well I set up this cart for you and everything, so you could wheel it anywhere. But for now, the living room does seem like a good idea.

[installing]

[So then she'll start wheeling it out there.]

So you're going to tell me how to turn it on and everything, right?

[godbent]

What, really? I don't know how this thing works.

[It's old. It's super old]

Then I guess we'll just have to figure it out together.

[Once they have it in the living room she tries to decide which wall it should project on.]

[And Haruhi looks around too, considering. She points questioning at the far wall. They just need to take down that one frame there]

[Winry nods, and then proceeds to take the picture off. There's a small stand on its back, so she'll just prop that open so she can set it on an end-table.]
