Four. Four birthdays in Luceti. Honestly none of them have ever been very exciting, but maybe it's better that way. Calling attention to age, especially now that she's 20, is a little of a scary thought. Instead she'll act like it's a normal day for most of it. Taking her dog for a walk in the late morning, spending time in the smithy, and even grocery shopping a bit. Eventually sometime in the afternoon, before dinner, she'll ask the village a question:]

A question for everyone: How do you feel about growing older here? Whether you already have or not. Is it scary to think about?
[Families? Relationships? Are they even a good idea? Despite the fact those are things she wants.]

Ha... I could say the same to you. I might roll over on you, or snore in your face.

[Even in the dark, she might be able to hear a hint of a grin in his voice. He's nervous, yeah, but... having her here is nice. She's warm and soft against him, and it's not so lonely. Since Al went home he's really missed sharing his room with someone.]

[She starts poking his side.]

What kind of girlfriend do you think I am!?

How should I know? I've never had one before!

So you think I'd do horrible things like get super mad at you over something you did while sleeping? Or worse, that I wouldn't tell you about it?

[Oh dear. Maybe he should consider backpedaling this time, before she gets mad enough to involve the wrench or something.]

...Uh. No? [....] It's not- that horrible, or. ...Are you being serious now?

[She lets out an exasperated sigh before scooting herself closer to him.]

Totally serious! If you did something I'd let you know!

[Huh. At first he's unsure about the mixed messages, but after a moment of puzzled silence, he mentally shrugs it off and - curiously, hoping it'll settle them both down - slides an arm around her to keep her close. It's nice and cozy...]

Okay, how about- in the morning, we'll both give a full report. Deal?

I think that's a good idea. We can't fix anything if we don't know that there's anything wrong with it.

[Sweet, conflict averted. He's getting pretty good at this. He grins for a moment longer, then leans in to give her forehead a kiss. Whether or not that's what he was actually aiming for... who knows, it's dark.
