[Today Winry has a busy day! Despite things in her neck of the woods slowly turning normal(ish), she has a lot to do. Feel free to bump into her at any time/place!

[Late Morning: The Library]
With Ed in the tunnels Winry has been running books back and forth. Sokka has done this too, but she's taking this chance to also pick something up herself. A romance novel with a monochrome book cover catches her eye. She'll flip through the first couple chapters in the library before taking off.

The book reads:
I scowl with frustration at myself in the mirror. Damn my hair – it just won’t behave, and damn Katherine Kavanagh for being ill and subjecting me to this ordeal. I should be studying for my final exams, which are next week, yet here I am trying to brush my hair into submission. I must not sleep with it wet. I must not sleep with it wet. Reciting this mantra several times, I attempt, once more, to bring it under control with the brush.

[Early Afternoon: The Smithy]
Work as usual - not. Off and on Winry tends to small chores and cleaning up prototypes, but nothing extremely productive. She might end up slacking off and reading again on the couch.

The book reads:
Portland disappears in front of us as we head into US Airspace, though my stomach remains firmly in Oregon. Whoa! All the bright all the bright lights shrink until they are twinkling sweetly below us. It's like looking from inside a fishbowl.

[Late afternoon: The Square]
Winry sits herself on a bench. The book she checked out was very boring so far. The writing wasn't even that good. She reads much further, but at some point she frowns. The mechanic's expression looks like one of disgust as her calloused hands slam the smooth book shut. Quickly Winry sets aside the book to open up her journal:]

Hey, would you trust anybody that made you sign a contract if you were going to keep being with them?

[She glares at the book beside her. Should she finish it? Honestly it's making her very uncomfortable. Maybe she should have picked up a medical text instead.]

Either way I guess the warm weather would be nice. It would really make things a little more cheery feeling.

Tell me about it. You go in to winter thinking it'll be some big special thing - Christmas and New Years and all - but then it's always a mess right up until... May, I guess.

[She would say April, because most of the bad stuff - this year, other years - has been relegated to December through February. But last year they broke up in April. A week from now'll be the anniversary of that date, and last year she moped and raged all through April as a result]

Yeah. The sun stays out longer, and the weather is warmer... it just feels nice. Most of the winter I feel like I should be sleeping because of how soon it gets dark.

[godbent]

You sleep in too much anyway. [Nudging her lightly]

[installing]

I do not! I sleep in just enough! [Nudging back a little less lightly.]

[godbent]

It's too much if you're waking up with the clock at double digit hours!

[installing]

Ten is a double digit hour, and that's not late!

[godbent]

Ten is so late! People should wake up at nine, at latest!

[installing]

That's insane. Even eleven is still morning.

[godbent]

Eleven is the afternoon in everyone's world except those who are too lazy to get up at normal times.

[installing]

No, twelve-o-one is afternoon because it's after noon.

[godbent]

You're just using that as an excuse. [:T]

Anyway, what were you reading?

[installing]

No, it's just the truth!

[But she'll move on to the second thing Haruhi brought up.]</small. It's called Fifty Shades of Grey.

[godbent]

Yeah, what's it about?

[And he holds out her hand to get it. So she can look over it]

[installing]

[She pulls the book closer to herself.]

Well it was supposed to be a love story.

[godbent]

[She probably would have dropped it as a passing question at love story, but the movement and the "supposed to be" makes her curious. Curious enough to try to yank it from Winry's hands]

Oh, so what happens?!

[installing]

[Haruhi is successful, but Winry reaches out trying to get it back.]

H-hey! That's- Don't do that!

[godbent]

What's so embarrassing?! [And she tries to get it open to look but Winry gets ahold of it before she can do that or hold it aloft, which causes a tug of war]

[installing]

Maybe it's none of your business!

[Tugging, but since she's so flustered it won't have too much strength to it.]

[godbent]

Yeah, but now you're making me even more curious about it!

[She tugs harder, hah! Finally ahold of it! ...Though it slips out of her hand and falls to the ground oops]

[installing]

Now look at what you've done! I have to return that, you know!

[She gets down now to pick it up.]

[godbent]

Oh come on it's not even damaged! [She said she she got down to try to get it first. But she won't from the direction it flew in]

[installing]

[Winry gathers it up, and holds it to her chest again.]

What if you threw it in a puddle?!

[godbent]

What puddle?! There aren't any puddles around this bench!

[And there aren't possibly because of her confidence in this]

[installing]

There could have been!

[She gets up to sit on the bench again.]
