[Buuuut, at best an hour or so later Haruhi will be there with a bright smile ad a bag under her arm. She has a key, but she opts to knock instead of just come in]

[Winry opens the door. There's a smudge of grease on her cheek. Looks like she was working before Haruhi got here.]

Hey, I'm here! [And bounding right in, here to paint her, a reflex which should have been squashed (Given they broke up three months ago) comes to her as she leans in to kiss Winry-]

[Noticing the grease actually reminds her. And she pauses there, awkwardly, part way there. Damn, she should be over this. She thought she was. It's probably the familiar memory of doing this that made her suffer from revertigo]

[Winry sees that. She flinches, but tries to save the moment. With Haruhi leaned in she wraps her arms around the girl.]

Feels like it's been a while.

Y-yeah... it feels way too long.

[he wraps her arms around Winry too, slowly. Hiding her face in the other girl's chest. This is ridiculous. She is ridiculous. She hates feeling this way, still. she knows winry is gone to her. she knows she won't get her back. She doesn't even blame her for it, but God knows she misses how close they were. She misses kissing someone]

[She holds Haruhi close. Her grip tightens a lighter, and she rests her head on the top of the other girl's. She hums lightly. It's nice to have a hug. One that isn't from someone significantly younger than she is. Winry takes comfort in this contact.]

[Quietly, she whispers this into the other girl's chest. Curling up into her and closing her eyes]

But Shiki's been my best friend for a long time now. And I guess Sokka would be yours...

I know that, but... why does this need a label? As long as we know what it is really, does it need a name?

[And it's been driving her insane. Winry's doing just fine, but she's still a mess. She's been trying to not a mess, and to some extent she's been succeeding too. She's not mad anymore at least. But...]

[She drops her arms, and lets Haruhi go.] Want to sit down for this?

[she likes to cook thinks. It's nice and mindless. Sitting's good too tho]

[Not that her and Gracia stock a lot of what she would make, but she sets the paint supplies down on the counter after marching in and goes to collect an apron.]
